DescriptionWonderful World of Color "Von Drake in Spain" Production Cel and Key Master Backgrounds Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1962). Ludwig Von Drake made his debut appearance as the host of the very first Wonderful World of Color TV show on NBC, on 9/24/61. That episode was called "An Adventure in Color." He went on to host many more Wonderful World of Color episodes. Von Drake was voiced by legendary voice artist Paul Frees. Here is a rare pair of 16 field hand-painted production backgrounds from the Ludwig Von Drake-hosted Wonderful World of Color episode called "Von Drake in Spain." It was directed by Norm Foster, and first aired on 4/8/62. These are Key Master setups with a Spanish village in one and an ancient ruin in another. Buildings and structures are on cel with painted background behind them. Production numbers are on bottom border. Both are in 20" x 16" mats with openings of 15" x 11". Very early 1960s stylized Key Master background setups. Minor handling. Very Good condition
