Description
Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day Piglet and Christopher Robin Production Cel Setup and Custom Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1968). In this second theatrical film, Christopher Robin decides to throw a hero party at the film's finale, as he believes Pooh has just saved Piglet. When Piglet gives his home to Owl, Pooh asks Christopher Robin to make it a "Two Hero Party!" Here is a rare 16 field production cel setup of Christopher Robin and Piglet at the party, with nice large image sizes of 3" and 7". This Academy Award-winning animated short was directed by Woolie Reitherman and released on 12/20/68. The cel has a Disney seal in the lower left, and is on a hand-painted custom background made for presentation purposes. Cel is laminated, with some lamination separation around the character borders. Matted, with a Piglet remarque in the lower right corner, done by a Walt Disney Classics artist in the 1990s; mat opening is 12" x 9". Setup is framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 24" x 21". Frame is sold as-is; setup is in Good condition.Auction Info
