Description
Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore Eeyore, Pooh, and Rabbit Production Cel with Original Background Layout Signed by Rick Reinert Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1983). "Many happy returns of the day, Eeyore." Presented in this lot are two stunning hand-painted 12 field 3-peghole cels. The first is from Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore. It features a smiling Eeyore with a beautiful graphite background layout. There is also a cel setup of Pooh and Rabbit by the river on a printed background signed by Rick Reinert. The first cel with Eeyore can be found at about the 21:01 mark in the short after Pooh and Piglet give Eeyore a birthday present. The other cel was signed by Rick Reinert (1925 - 2018) in the bottom right. Reinert animated a long list of notable characters, ranging from Tom & Jerry to Winnie the Pooh, and directed Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore. The cels number 11, P9, and R13. Eeyore measures about 5.5'' x 2.5''. Pooh measures roughly 1.25'' x 2'' while Rabbit measures around 3.75'' x 1.25''. Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear from studio use. This includes small stains, pinholes, tiny bits of line fading, and tape marks with tape attaching both cels to their backgrounds.Auction Info
