Description

Who Framed Roger Rabbit Jessica and Roger Original Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1988). "I wasn't worried. Were you?" Roger Rabbit says to Jessica after Eddie Valiant turns off the valve of Dip just in time. This original hand-painted 16 field production cel from Who Framed Roger Rabbit features a dramatic scene with Roger Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit in a perilous moment, captured around the 1:28:51 mark of the film. The cel, meticulously hand-painted to an image area of 4" x 6.5" on 16 field acetate, is placed over a black and white background copy, highlighting the intensity of the scene. Who Framed Roger Rabbit, directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg, was released in 1988 as a groundbreaking live-action/animated film under Disney's Touchstone Pictures and Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. The film was based on Who Censored Roger Rabbit?, a novel Disney acquired the rights to in 1981, later bringing Spielberg on board to co-finance the project. Writers Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman drew inspiration from the Golden Age of American animation, particularly the works of Tex Avery and Bob Clampett. With typical handling and edge wear including an added peghole strip and staple binding to the background, overall the cel is in Very Good condition, making it a valuable piece for animation collectors.
