Description
Watership Down Rabbit Group Production Cel Scene (Nepenthe Productions, 1978). The rabbits discover a badly wounded Captain Holly who escaped being buried alive, in this original hand-inked and hand-painted production cel from the animated film based on the 1972 novel by Richard Adams. This film is considered by many to be one of the best British animated movies of all time, but it's a dark and sometime bloody film with many frightening moments. This scene can be found at the 40:25 mark in online viewings, as Holly says "They just destroyed the warren because we were in their way." The multi-cel scene has an approximate image size of 9.5" x 6.5", and includes a Linda Jones holograph seal in the lower left. The cel is matted with an opening of 10.5" x 12.5", and framed with glass for an overall size of 20" x 22". The frame is a bit scratched and dinged; a Linda Jones Certificate of Authenticity is on back. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
