Walt Disney Presents/Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color Tinker Bell Production Cel Signed by Marc Davis (Walt Disney, c. 1950s). This is an original hand-inked and hand-painted production cel of Tinker Bell, from the famous opening credits of the Walt Disney Company's long-running anthology television series. This series ran from 1954 through the 1990s using several different names including Walt Disney's Disneyland, Walt Disney Presents, Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, and The Wonderful World of Disney; it even recently came to streaming in 2020 with new episodes under the title The Wonderful World of Disney: Presented by Disney+. This cel features a great full-figure image of Tink measuring 2.25" long, horizontal in flight. Her magic wand is pointed directly downward with the tip landing on the corner of a delicately trimmed Disneyland print logo, mimicking the magic in the original opening. The cel is signed by Tinker Bell's creator Marc Davis (1913 - 2000) who developed her for the feature film Peter Pan (1953), unaware at the time that he was creating a future "spokes-character" for The Walt Disney Company who has since become an integral part of Disney's storytelling. The cel is framed under Plexiglas to an overall size of 23.25" x 18.75" with a mat aperture of 15" x 10.5" and includes a print background for display purposes. All frames are sold as-is.
