Vampire Hunter D D Production Cel (Ashi Productions, 1985). Offered in this lot is a fantastic hand-painted original production cel featuring the titular hero D in a dramatic closeup from the classic 1985 fantasy horror film Vampire Hunter D. Set in a post-nuclear holocaust world, the film tells the story of a young woman who hires a mysterious half-vampire, half-human to protect her from a powerful vampire lord. This image nearly fills the piece, composed of two 12-field cels. A great depiction of the character created by writer Hideyuki Kikiuchi, this cel shows minor handling and edge wear, and the condition is Very Good.More information about Ashi Productions.
