Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust Leila Marcus Production Cel Setup with Key Master Background (Madhouse, 2000). Deciding to take D by herself, Leila leaves the Marcus brothers behind and chases the dhampir by herself. Gearing up and preparing her Atomic Bike, this stunning image of Leila Marcus illuminated by the dashboard shows up at the 13:10 mark of the movie Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. This remarkable hand-painted production cel setup has the audacious character measuring 12.75" x 8". Leila displays her goggles in the middle cel of this setup, with the motorcycle on the top cel, and the Marcus Brothers' vehicle on the bottom cel. The tremendous setup is greatly enhanced by the Key Master background of this scene, rendering brick column ruins and the eerie night sky in gouache on background board measuring 14" x 9.75". The cels show light surface scuffing and surface scratches that don't affect the art, with the Key Master background showing light scuffing on the surface that doesn't affect the paint. With very minimal handling wear from production use, this lot is in Very Good condition.More information about Madhouse Artist.
