Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust Leila Marcus Production Cel (Madhouse, 2000). When Leila Marcus is asked if she's seen the dhampir, D, she replies, "No, I haven't seen him," as she sees him trying to dig a hole to hide from the sun. From the spectacular anime film directed by the renowned Yoshiaki Kawajiri Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, we have in this lot a stunning hand-painted production cel displaying Leila Marcus. This image shows up at the 51:55 mark of the movie and features the character measuring a stupendous image size of 11.5" x 8.75" on the cel numbered A48 in the top right corner. Images like this greatly showcase the distinctive character design of the film, courtesy of the legendary Yutaka Minowa. The cel is shown on a printed background for presentation purposes, taped with Archival artist tape near the top corners.
