    Description

Tree Cornered Tweety Sylvester Production Cel (Warner Brothers, 1956). "Hey Putty Tat... CATCH!" This is a very rare and outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of Sylvester using a metal detector to navigate through an Army mine field, in order to catch Tweety (who is up a tree). Tweety sees him coming and throws him a large magnet. All the land mines go to the magnet and explode! This is from the Friz Freleng-directed short, written by Warren Foster. It was a Dragnet-type parody, with Tweety narrating like Joe Friday; released to theaters on 5/19/56. You can see this around the 4:45 mark into the short. The cel is on a print background for presentation purposes. Great full-figure image of Sylvester, measuring 5". Production cels of Looney Tunes characters from this era are very tough to find. Tape along border for previous framing. Very Good condition.
