    Description

Traffic Troubles Mickey Mouse Black and White Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1931). Mickey's overloaded taxicab (with a rather large passenger inside) bounces around thanks to some "potholes" in the road, in this ultra-rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel. This Burt Gillett-directed short was the twenty-sixth Mickey Mouse cartoon to be released; it was first shown in theaters on 3/7/1931. This scene with Mickey trying to dodge the holes in the road occurs at about the 2:31 mark. The cel image has been professionally restored and carefully trimmed to outline and placed on a new sheet of acetate; the cel image has an overall size of 4.5" x 3.5", while the new acetate measures 20" x 13.5". The background is a print from another early Mickey short, added for presentation purposes. Surviving cels of Mickey Mouse from black and white shorts, especially this early, are very hard to find. Very Good condition.
