    Description

    Tom and Jerry Production Cel (MGM, c. 1950s). Tom and Jerry first appeared as Mouseketeers in the Academy Award winning short Two Mouseketeers. It was a hit, so they appeared again in the Academy Award nominated short Touche' Pussy Cat. An Oscar win and a nomination ultimately lead to them appearing twice more in Tom and Cherie and Royal Cat Nap. This is a great hand-inked, hand-painted 2-cel setup of Tom and Jerry as Mouseketeers from this series. Some of the animation in the later shorts was borrowed from earlier ones, so determining the exact episode of cels like these is often difficult. Tom is in full-figure and measures 5" tall while Jerry with his sword is 3" tall and the pair work well together. The setup is over a print background for presentation purposes. Very Good condition.
