Description
Todd McFarlane's Spawn Spawn Pan-Sized Production Cel and Animation Drawing (HBO, 1998-99). Offered in this lot is a towering hand-painted production cel featuring the iconic titular antihero of Todd McFarlane's Spawn. Based on the groundbreaking comic, this series centers on Al Simmons, who, after being murdered, makes a deal with the demon Malebolgia to return to Earth and see his wife. Completely spectacular, this 10.5" x 16.5" pan-sized cel features an emblematic image of Spawn with his enormous red cape measuring an impressive image size of 10" x 14.75", accompanied by its matching animation drawing rendered in graphite and green pencil. The cel is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes, taped with archival artist tape. A light fold crease is present near the top edge of the cel. Overall, the lot shows light handling and edge wear from production. The animation drawing is in Good condition, with a small tear on the left edge, visible surface scuffing, a slight fold crease near the top edge, and a small paint spot near the bottom right corner.
