Description
Todd McFarlane's Spawn "Prophecy" Jade Production Cel and Animation Drawing (HBO, 1999). We have in this lot a terrific hand-painted production cel from the animated show Todd McFarlane's Spawn, featuring the Hellspawn Hunter, Jade. When first appearing in the series, Jade is introduced under her covert identity, Lisa Wu, seemingly a reporter, sent to assassinate Spawn. Spotted at approximately the 20:08 mark of the last episode of the series, "Prophecy," this 12-field cel shows a wounded Jade measuring 7.75" x 4", numbered C16 in the top right corner. Jade's matching animation drawing is also included with this lot, rendered in graphite and color pencils. The cel is shown on a printed background for presentation purposes, taped with archival artist tape. A small paint spot can be seen on the bottom edge of the drawing. Presenting overall minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.From the Spawn writer John Leekley Collection.
