Description
Todd McFarlane's Spawn Production Cel (HBO, c. 1997-99). Presented is a spectacular full-figure image of the titular antihero from the Emmy Award-winning animated series Todd McFarlane's Spawn. Based on the comics from Image, Spawn tells the grim story of Al Simmons and his pact with the demon Malebolgia, resulting in the eponymous tragic character. Geared toward adult audiences, NowThis News claimed the series was "one of the most shocking shows on TV in the '90s" and that it "set a new bar for mature animation," particularly in the United States. Spawn is hand-painted at 5.5" x 6.5" on the 12 field cel. Numbered A7, the cel is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes, and it is presented in an 18" x 14" mat with a window size of 9" x 7.5".
