Description
Todd McFarlane's Spawn "Hunter's Moon" Jade Production Cel and Animation Drawing (HBO, 1999). "I am a soldier, like you. We have a duty." Jade unsheathes her swords in this lot, featuring a stupendous hand-painted production cel from "Hunter's Moon," the fourth episode in Todd McFarlane's Spawn third and final season. An assassin sent by heaven, Jade's goal is to kill Spawn, introduced in the story as the journalist Lisa Wu. Spotted at the 25:20 mark, this 12-field cel features Jade and her two swords, measuring 9.25" x 6.75", showing the number A23 in the top right corner, and it is displayed on a printed copy of the background for presentation purposes. The lot comes with the matching animation drawing used to create the cel, rendering the fierce warrior in graphite and color pencils. Paint residue is visible on the animation drawing. Presenting overall minor handling and edge wear from production, the lot is in Very Good condition.From the Spawn writer John Leekley Collection.
