    Description

The Yogi Bear Show "Whistle-Stop and Go" Yakky Doodle Title Cel and Key Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1961). Yakky Doodle first appeared in Augie Doggie/Doggie Daddy episodes on The Quick Draw McGraw Show. His popularity led to his own cartoon segments on The Yogi Bear Show. This is a rare 12 field hand-inked hand-painted opening title cel on its Key Master background for the "Whistle-Stop and Go" episode, shown on the eighth week into the 1961 season, on 3/20/61. It has some animation done by veteran animator Art Davis. In this episode, Yakky saves Chopper from the Dog Catcher, and in return, Chopper would save Yakky from the Fox. This is great early H-B 1960s artwork. Bottom of the title cel is a blue penciled "ok" from the hand of Joe Barbera. Cel and background setup measures 10.5" x 13". The Master title credits sheet of this cartoon is included in the lot. Minor handling and edge wear. Overall condition is Very Good.
