Description
The Tracey Ullman Show "Simpsons Xmas" Bart Production Cel (Fox, 1988). "When lo and behold, what did I see? Lisa and Maggie had just beaten me!" A surprised Bart Simpson realizes that his sisters, Lisa and Maggie, have beaten him to the gifts below the tree early Christmas morning in this hand-painted production cel from the Tracy Ullman short, "Simpsons Xmas." The episode debuted on December 18, 1988 with Bart narrating the short in a parody of the classic poem, Twas the Night Before Christmas. The cel comes from the personal collection of Wes Archer, who was one of the three original animators for the Tracy Ullman Simpsons shorts, and would go on to direct many classic The Simpsons episodes. Bart is on his own cel layer and measures 2.25" x 4.25". The background is composed of a hand-painted cel with black line art details placed over a pink color card to complete the image. The cel and background layers measure 12.5" x 10.5". The cel is in Very Good condition, with some surface wear to the pink color card background.From The Simpsons Director Wes Archer Collection.
