Description
The Simpsons "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" Homer Production Cel with Key Master Background Signed Matt Groening (Fox, 1989). Homer wrestles with Snowball II while untangling a Gordian Knot of Christmas lights in this original production cel setup from the debut of the longest running TV sitcom of all time. Presented here is a hand-painted production cel from the very first full-length episode of The Simpsons. The image of Homer and cat which appears at the 3:02 mark measures 3" x 5" on a 12 field cel that is paired with the matching Key Master cel background. This piece was originally purchased at the Art of the Simpsons auction in New York in 1991. The top cel bears a gold fox seal, COA on back of the frame. As an added bonus, the mat is signed by Simpson's creator Matt Groening. This is a real one-of-a-kind piece of Simpsons and television history. It is in a 19" x 17" frame under Plexiglas with a mat window of 12" x 9.5." Minor handling and condition is Very Good. All frames are sold as-is.
