Description
The Simpsons "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" Homer and Bart Simpson Production Cel (Fox, 1989). "Wow! Ninety-nine times thirteen equals... Merry Christmas!" Homer's math may be a little bit off, but his heart is in the right place. There are few animated shows as iconic as The Simpsons, starting as a series of short cartoons on The Tracey Ullman Show and then taking over with their own animated show. We have in this lot, from the episode that started The Simpson family in their own TV show, a marvelous hand-painted production cel from the debut episode of the emblematic series, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire," seen at the 18:03 mark. The jolly Homer, wearing a Santa suit, measures 5.5" tall, doing his best to get some Holiday spirit into a 3.75" Bart, wearing Homer's Santa's hat, showcased on a printed background for presentation purposes. The cel presents a 20th Century Fox seal in the bottom right corner and is featured in a 17" x 14.5" mat with an opening of 11.75" x 9". The cel presents minor handling wear from production. In Very Good condition.More information about 20th Century Fox Artist.
