The Simpsons "Sideshow Bob Roberts" Production Cel on Key Master Background Setup (Fox, 1994). "Tonight: Mayoral Debates. Tomorrow: Mass Wedding of Cult Members." The Simpsons Episode 5 of Season 6 was a parody the 1992 political mockumentary film Bob Roberts starring Tim Robbins. It focused on Springfield's mayoral race between incumbent Diamond Joe Quimby and recent parolee Sideshow Bob. Shown here is the sight of the debates, the Springfield Community Center at the 11:09 mark. This original hand-painted one-of-a-kind Key Master production cel setup was released through Fox Studio's "Collector's Portfolio" program. Following the initial limited release of production art at a New York auction in 1992, The Simpsons Animation Art Program began releasing 100 unique production setups each year from the Fox archives. These unique setups represent some the rarest Simpsons production art available today. Features in them are some of the funniest moments and highlight those hilarious fleeting images that motivate many fans to stop and pause the show to fully appreciate the hidden details. This extraordinary 12 field production setup is a held image that appears for just a second. The piece bears a Fox seal and serial number in the lower left corner and comes with a matching Certificate of Authenticity with serial number CPBG DC077. The art is in a 22" x 19" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 12" x 9.5". Condition is Fine and the frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
