    Description

The Simpsons "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" George Harrison Production Cel Group (Fox, 1993). The fifth season Simpsons opener was a fondly remembered "Beatles parody" episode called "Homer's Barbershop Quartet" (the band, the Be Sharp's hit song was called "Baby on Board"), which originally aired on September 30, 1993. It featured cameos by both David Crosby and the late George Harrison. This set of three hand-painted cels of George are marked D6, D7, and D11, and are placed on printed backgrounds from a different Simpsons episode. The cels are in Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
