The Simpsons "Homer Phobia" Original Bart and Maggie Production Cel (Fox, 1997). This hilarious original production cel from The Simpsons episode "Homer Phobia" (Season 8, Episode 15) captures a memorable moment where Bart, wearing a wig, dances and sings along to "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)" by Betty Everett. A horrified Homer quickly snatches the wig off Bart's head while Maggie calmly watches, sucking on her pacifier. This scene perfectly encapsulates the humor and chaos of Homer's misguided attempts at parenting. In this 168th overall episode, Homer befriends John, a kitschy antiques store owner and enthusiast of all things camp, voiced by guest star John Waters. When Marge reveals that John is homosexual, Homer panics, fearing Bart might emulate him. In a series of misguided efforts, Homer takes Bart on a journey to "toughen him up," creating a humorous yet heartfelt exploration of acceptance. This production cel features Bart and Maggie hand-painted on 12 field-size acetate cels, paired with a background print from the scene.
