Description
The Simpsons "Burn's Heir" Mr. Burns and Smithers Production Cel (Fox, 1994). "Please, sir,,, you'll catch cold." The ever-faithful Smithers displays his unwavering loyalty to Mr. Burns even while being subject to his wrath in this scene from Season 5, Episode 18. In this lot is a truly hilarious hand-painted production cel of Springfields oldest billionaire, C. Montgomery Burns and his devoted lackey, Waylon Smithers. It appears at the 2:44 mark as Smithers nearly drowns his employer in the course of bathing him. The pair together measure 5" x 7" on a 12 field cel over a matching print background. It has a gold Fox seal in the lower left and comes with a studio-issued COA. The odd relationship between Smithers and Burns has been a comedy staple of this record-breaking series and never seems to get old. The art is in a 20" x 18" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 12" x 9.5". Condition is Very Good. All frames are sold as-is.
