Description
The Simpsons "Blame It On Lisa" Bart and Homer Original Production Cel (Fox, 2002). "I'm in Rio, and I'm walking on the Beach. I'm in my Speedo!" Bart and Homer strut their stuff in this scene from Episode 15 of Season 13 of The Simpson's. Offered here is an original hand-painted production cel of the pair along with a couple of other beachgoers from around the 11:42 mark. Both father and son are in full figure and together measure 4.5" x 6.5" on a 12 field multi-cel setup over a matching print background. The cel bears a gold Fox seal, and a studio-issued COA is on back of the frame. This episode is rather special as it garnered a great deal of criticism from the Brazilian press due to several cultural inaccuracies, and Riotur, the tourist board of Rio de Janeiro, considered suing Fox over it. What Simpson collection would be complete without art from the episode that nearly caused an international incident? The cel is in a 22" x 19" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 11.5" x 9".
