Description
The Simpsons "Bart of Darkness" Itchy & Scratchy Production Cel (Fox, 1994). This production cel comes from The Itchy & Scratchy Show, the show-within-a-show on The Simpsons. This image can be found in the Itchy & Scratchy episode "Planet of the Aches," which is seen in the Simpsons episode "Bart of Darkness." This episode is a parody of Planet of the Apes, and it depicts Scratchy as he emerges from 3,000 years trapped in a wall to find that the world is inhabited by ultra-intelligent mice that resemble Itchy. This great original, hand-painted production cel depicts the aged, emaciated Scratchy as he is led by a group of three Itchy-like figures. The cel features an image of the four characters measuring about 7.75" x 4.5" on their 12 field cel. The cel is marked in its lower right corner with A40, and it bears a Fox seal on its lower left corner. It is set atop a color print background for presentation. The setup comes with a Simpsons Certificate of Authenticity. The cel is in Very Good condition, with minor handling and edge wear.More information about 20th Century Fox Artist.
