Description
The Rescuers Penny Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1977). "Now, I am going to let bygones be bygones. Do you know what would make Auntie Medusa very happy?" "Yes, you want me to find that diamond." The adorable Penny and her teddy bear are featured here in this wonderful hand-painted original production cel from the 1977 animated feature film The Rescuers. Seen at the 51:21 mark of the film, this piece captures the scene in which Medusa attempts to manipulate Penny into retrieving the valuable Devil's Eye diamond (the villain would later attempt to smuggle the diamond away in poor Teddy!). Penny was animated by Disney Legend Milt Kahl, one of the last major projects the animator worked on for the Disney studio. This fantastic piece from the classic film is framed under glass with a mat window size of 13.5" x 9.5" and an overall frame size of 20.25" x 16.25". The cel bears a Walt Disney seal, and the back of the frame bears a Walt Disney Certificate of Authenticity. The frame is sold as is, and the cel shows very minor handling. The condition is Very Good. From the Disney Legend Don Duckwall Archive.
