The Rescuers Penny Production Cel on Master Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1977). Penny uses an old pirate's cutlass to retrieve the Devil's Eye diamond in the exciting climactic conclusion of this hit Disney film. This is a spectacular original hand-painted production cel of Penny who measures 6.5" x 6" on a 16 field cel presented over an original hand-painted background. The cel and background appear seconds apart with the image of Penny appearing at the 49:44 mark and the background from the same scene at the 50:00 mark. This was a very important film for Disney as its box office success helped to usher in the studio's animation renaissance. The setup is framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 14" x 8" in a 22" x 16" frame. Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
