The Reluctant Dragon Casey Junior Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1941). "ALL ABOARD!" Here is an incredibly rare hand-inked, hand-painted black and white production cel of Casey Junior from his debut appearance. This cel is from the "Foley Artist" segment of the Reluctant Dragon which demonstrates how sound effects are added to an animated film. The first 20 minutes of this tour through the animation department of Disney studios was filmed in back and white, switching to color shortly after this scene. This is a fantastic image of the "Little Engine that Could" who appeared in color later that year in Dumbo. Original production art from this film that mixed live-action footage with animated segments is incredibly rare. The full-figure image of Junior measures 6" x 6.5" on a 12 field cel. It is framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 11" x 9" in a 19" x 17" frame. Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
