Description
The Quick Draw McGraw Show Sugar Smacks Production Cel Setup (Hanna-Barbera, 1959). "Here comes Quick Draw McGraw!" This early Hanna-Barbera show was sponsored by Kellogg's which sponsored all the Hanna-Barbera cartoons at the time. We have an outstanding rare hand-inked, hand-painted black and white production cel. The setup shows Quick Draw McGraw and Baba Louie from a sponsor tag segment for Sugar Smacks cereal. A great photo of an original cereal box featuring Quick Draw is in the piece. This is a combination of two untrimmed cels over a print background from a 1961 Quick Draw short. The elements work very well together. The black and white print background is for presentation purposes. These fantastic full-figure images measure 3" and 6". Early Hanna-Barbera animation is considered very rare. The production cel setup is in a 16.25" x 14" frame with Plexiglas and a mat opening of 11" x 9". Frame is sold as-is. Some ink line loss on Baba Louie's face; otherwise the artwork is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
