Description
The Prince and the Pauper Mickey Mouse as Prince Production Cel Signed by Dale Baer (Walt Disney, 1990). From Disney's 1990 animated short, adapting Mark Twain's well-known story, The Prince and the Pauper, we have in this lot a terrific hand-painted production cel featuring Mickey Mouse as the Prince, signed by the renowned animator Dale L. Baer (1950-2021). Released over 35 years ago on November 16, 1990, this George Scribner-directed cartoon was shown before the premiere of The Rescuers Down Under, and was the last Disney production animated with cels. Appearing at the 4:22 mark, this 12-field cel, numbered 19 on the bottom right, shows Mickey measuring 4.25" x 5.5", presenting a Walt Disney Company stamp in the bottom right and Dale Baer's signature on the top left, along with the dedication "Hi will - Thanks for letting me sign this. Best Wishes." This lot is shown on a printed background for presentation purposes. In Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear from production.Auction Info
