The Pointer Mickey Mouse and Pluto Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1939). Original, hand-inked, hand-painted production cels of Mickey Mouse, Pluto and a family of quail, from one of the very first Mickey Mouse shorts to feature his new Fred Moore-drawn pupils. This short, released on 7/21/39, was directed by Clyde Geronomi, and was nominated for an Academy Award. The cels are trimmed to image, and mounted to a rare, preliminary production Master background for this short. Mickey and Pluto are nice images of 6" and 5", respectively. One of the nicest pure cels from this short we have ever seen. Framed with Plexiglas to an overall size of 22" x 19.5", with a mat opening of 11" x 9".
