The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Production Cel and Matching Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1988). This two-time Emmy Award-winning series premiered on 2/28/88 on the Disney Channel. It proved so successful that it eventually moved over to ABC. This is a sweet hand-painted production cel with its matching animation drawing of Winnie the Pooh and his beloved Honey Pots. This is from the episode "The Great Honey Pot Robbery," which premiered on 2/28/88. It featured Heffalumps and Woozles named Heff and Stan! This was one of the first episodes ever released on VHS tape. The 12 field hand-painted production cel of Winnie the Pooh is 4". The production cel is framed with its matching 12 field animation drawing, in a double aperture. The Plexiglas-front frame housing both cel and drawing measures 28" x 14". A Disney seal is on both the production cel and production drawing; a Disney COA is on the back of the frame. An adorable classic image! Fine condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
