Description

The New Adventures of Batman Bat-Mite with Batman and Robin Production Cel Setup with Painted Production Background (Filmation, 1977). The Dynamic Duo and well-meaning imp Bat-Mite gives a set of show stopping smiles in this superb original hand-painted 12 field multi-cel production setup, placed on an original hand-painted background from an unknown production with a foliage overlay cel. This Saturday morning series was the first to feature Batman and Robin as the solo stars, as the prior series The Batman/Superman Hour was split between Batman, Superman, and Superboy segments. It was also notable for utilizing the voice talents of Adam West and Burt Ward, stars of the hit Batman live-action series from 1966-68. The caped crusaders and the helpful imp have a combined image size that measures approximately 8.5" x 6". The gouache on board production background frames the cels very nicely, paired with a complimentary overlay, and makes for one great setup. With light production handling and edgewear on all parts of the setup. The character cel has minor paint loss on Robin's shirt and cape, the overlay cel has slightly tacky remnants on the bottom edge and a thin line of paper remnants near the top edge, and the background has specs of paint remnants on its surface. Overall, this cel setup is in Very Good condition.
