The Little Mermaid Ariel Production Cel Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1989). From the Disney Renaissance movie The Little Mermaid, we present in this lot an outstanding sequence of three expressive hand-painted production cels showcasing the distressed Ariel after hearing the news that Prince Eric is getting married to someone else. This fascinating sequence displays the remarkable capabilities of Disney animators to portray intense emotions through body language. Created for the scene that starts at the 1:05:31 mark of the beloved animated classic, these 12-field production cels, numbered 149, 203, and 207 in the bottom right corner, present stunning images of our famous protagonist in her human form, measuring figure sizes from 4" x 5.25" to 5" x 4.5".
