The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe Production Cel Key Master Setup Group of 2 (Bill Melendez, 1979). This animated television special was based on the book by C.S. Lewis. It was a prime-time, two-night showing on CBS on 4/1 and 4/2. It would go on to win an Emmy for Bill Melendez. It told the story of Lucy, Susan, Edmund, Peter, the lion - Aslan, and the Wicked White Witch. Backgrounds for this special were done by longtime Bill Melendez background artist, the great Dean Spille. This is a rare set of two 12 field production cels, that are both setup on their hand-painted Key Master production backgrounds. Cels are stapled at top to their respective Key Master backgrounds. It is considered very rare to find any art from this show. At the time, it was watched by 37 million people! This TV special has been released on both VHS tape and DVD. Minor handling with tape and edge wear. Good condition.
