The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam "Hero High" Captain California and Glorious Gal Production Cel and Key Master Background (Filmation, c. 1981 - 82). A fantastic Key Master setup featuring Captain California and Glorious Gal from Hero High, the 1981 animated/live-action series that aired as part of NBC's The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam. The actors who voice the Hero High cartoon characters also perform onstage as their characters each week in the live-action song-of-the-week and comedy-sketch segments. Captain California is the lead singer in the band with Glorious Gal on keyboards and backing vocals. Captain and Glorious are love interests. Glorious Gal has a constant rivalry with fellow band member and bass player Dirty Trixie, who is crushing on Captain California, but instead she hangs around Rex Ruthless, the drummer who ironically has a crush on Glorious Gal, and so they work together occasionally...trying to come up with schemes to get the two to break up. This rare Key Master setup consists of two hand-painted 12 field character cels paired with the hand-painted original Key Master background. It's a wonderful piece of production art with our two heroes perfectly centered and standing full-body at 5 and 5.5" tall. Light edge wear and superficial surface scratches from production use.
