Description

The Jungle Book Mowgli and King Louie Production Cel Setup (Walt Disney, 1967). A-zabbi-deep-dobbie-do-bop-boo! This feature film was inspired by Rudyard Kipling's stories of Mowgli, which were originally published in magazines from 1893-94 before being collected into The Jungle Book. It was Disney's 19th animated masterpiece and the last animated feature that had Walt Disney's personal touch. This fun-filled image features Mowgli and the king of the swingers... that jungle V.I.P., King Louie. Louie was not actually in the stories. Originally, Louis Armstrong was considered for the part before they settled on Las Vegas entertainer Louie Prima. The cel is placed over a print background and matted to 10" x 8" with a Disneyland Art Corner gold sticker placed on the reverse. Louie measures 6.25" tall and the Man-Cub is 5" tall. In Fine condition.
