Description

The Jungle Book King Louie Production Cel and Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1967). "Now have we got a deal?" asks King Louie. "Yeah... I'll do anything to stay in the Jungle," says Mowgli as he eats two bananas just fed to him. "We'll then, I'll lay it on the line!" And at this point, King Louie sings his tour-de-force musical number, "I Wanna Be Like You." This is an outstanding original hand-painted production cel of King Louie on its Key Master hand-painted production background of the King's throne in his jungle castle. This is from the scene where he is just about to begin to sing, with a large cel image of 7". Backgrounds in this film were styled by Al Dempster with Bill Layne, Art Riley, Ralph Hulett , Thelma Witmer, and Frank Armitage all involved in background painting. What a roster of artists! This is one magnificent Key Master setup of production cel and matching background -- a museum-quality setup! Matted with an opening of 12" x 10", and framed with glass for an overall size of 20" x 17". Frame is sold as-is. Art condition Very Good.
