Description
The Jungle Book Dizzy, Buzzie, Flaps, and Ziggy Vultures Production Cel Scene (Walt Disney, 1967). "Hey Flaps, what we gonna do?" In this original hand-painted 16 field cel scene, the four vultures with British accents (inspired by the most popular rock group at the time, The Beatles) wind up helping Mowgli escape the clutches of Shere Khan in this animated version of Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book stories. In this rare scene with all four vultures, the "lads" decide to have fun with "the little bloke" as seen at the 1:02:41 timestamp; they wind up trying to cheer a depressed Mowgli up by breaking into the song "That's What Friends are For." This is a rarely seen reverse image of what appears onscreen, no doubt done during production to make the scene work better; however, it is the exact image, right down to the loose feathers floating from Ziggy. The approximate combined image is 11.25" x 6.5". The cel includes a Disney seal and was laminated by the Disney Studios sometime during the 1990s; a light line of separation extends from the top down to Flaps. Matted with an opening of 14.5" x 10.5", with an overall mat size of 20" x 16". Good to Very Good condition with minor handling wear.Auction Info
