Description
The Huckleberry Hound Show "Plutocrat Cat" Title Cel and Key Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1960). "I hates meeces to pieces!" says Mr. Jinx the Cat! The Pixie and Dixie shorts featuring Mr. Jinx were a beloved segment of The Huckleberry Hound Show, the first animated series to win an Emmy Award. This show premiered on 10/2/58, featuring Don Messick as the voice of Pixie while Daws Butler was Dixie as well as Mr. Jinx. This is a rare hand-inked, hand-painted Title cel for the "Plutocrat Cat" episode. The hand-inked, hand-painted 12 field cel is on its Key Master hand-painted production background. This Season 2 episode ran on 9/25/60 and was the 38th overall episode. In it, Pixie and Dixie move to a rich cat's home to escape from Jinx. Jinx gets lonesome and the mice end up not liking their new-found luxury. The top-hatted Mr. Jinx is a nice classy 5" image. The Title cel setup has an "OK" written on the bottom from the hand of Joe Barbera. Also as a bonus, the studio Main Title Camera Credits Sheet, dated 4/25/60, is included with the lot. Early '60s Hanna-Barbera Title cels are very desirable. Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.Auction Info
