Description
The Great Mouse Detective Major Dawson Production Cel on Master Production Background (Walt Disney, 1986). "My Dad is gone and I'm all alone" says Olivia to the private detective team of Basil and Dawson. This is an original hand-painted production cel of Dawson who measures 7" tall and is presented over a Master hand-painted production background of Basil of Baker Street's living room. Backgrounds for this film were painted by Lisa Keene, Donald Towns, John Emerson, Brian Sebern, Michael Humphries, Tia Kratner, and Andrew and Phillip Phillipson. Master setups like this from one of the last Disney films to use cels are considered extremely desirable by collectors. The setup is in a frame of 18" x 17" with a mat opening of 11" x 9". Dawson has slight paint separation/crack in hat, nose and collar of his coat. Good condition. Frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
