Description
The Great Mouse Detective Basil and Dawson Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1986). "Who is Toby?" "Well, my dear, Toby is, uh... Well, he's, uh... I say, Basil, who is this Toby chap?" As soon as Dawson asks, an enormous, enthusiastic Basset Hound promptly barrels into the room to greet them. Seen at the 23:30 mark of The Great Mouse Detective, this is a fantastic hand-painted original production cel featuring Dawson and Basil as they react to the stampeding dog. This rare piece is composed of two cels bearing an official Walt Disney seal. In addition, the piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The cels are matted with a window size of 11.75" x 7.75" and an overall mat size of 18" x 14". Minor studio handling and edge wear with a staple in the upper left and toning at the top edge. The Dawson cel has been laminated. The condition is Very Good.Auction Info
