Description
The Fox and the Hound Copper and Squeeks the Butterfly Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1981). Here are two original hand-painted production cels from different scenes that work nicely together. The first is a full-figure cel of Copper, now with a rope and collar to keep him from wandering off (to go play with Tod the fox cub), as seen at about the 23:56 timestamp. The second is of Squeeks, the worm that birds Dinky and Boomer chase throughout the film, finally transformed into a beautiful butterfly, from about the 1:20:48 mark. Copper's size (not including his rope) is approximately 5.25" x 3.5", while beautiful butterfly Squeeks measures 4.25" x 2.75". The cel includes a Walt Disney Company seal in the lower right and is matted and framed with glass for an overall size of 19" x 16". A Disney Certificate of Authenticity is on the back side. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The cels appear to have been laminated (a common practice at the Disney Studios in the 1990s) but with no haloing or other obvious problems associated with lamination. The condition is Very Good to Fine with light handling wear.Auction Info
