The Flintstones Fred Flintstone Original Opening Production Cel and Master Production Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1960). The Flintstones premiered on Prime Time network TV, on ABC on 9/30/60. It was the first cartoon to get this distinction. TV Guide has called this show the second greatest animated television show of all time, behind The Simpsons. This is a pure piece of television and animation history. The First Season original opening title sequence is called "Fred Runs Errands." In it, Fred leaves work, is stopped by a Bedrock traffic cop as a prehistoric fire engine passes by, and then stops by the dry cleaners. He runs up a flight of stairs and then emerges with a suit before heading home to Wilma and Dino. This is a rare hand-inked, hand-painted production cel of this sequence from the opening. It is on a hand-painted Master production background. Fred is a full-figure image, with a size of 4". Cel and background are matted with an opening of 11" x 8", and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 20" x 17". Frame is sold as-is. Cels and background are in Very Good condition. This is one "Yabba Dabba Doozy" piece of animation art!
