The End of Evangelion Lilith Production Cel and Animation Drawing (Gainax, 1997). Rei Ayanami merges with the ancient being and progenitor of humanity known as Lilith, returning the soul to its former shell and triggering the apocalyptic event known as Third Impact. This jaw-dropping original production cel can be seen at the 54:36 mark of the monumental finale film The End of Evangelion, the mind-bending conclusion to Hideaki Anno's groundbreaking deconstructionist masterpiece Neon Genesis Evangelion. An unsettling moment in which the massive god-like being reaches for a defenseless Shinji Ikari in the cockpit of Eva Unit 01, this incredible cel captures one of the film's many unforgettable, cataclysmic sequences. The piece has a large and centered image area of 13.75" x 8" on the 14.25" x 9" cel. The cel is joined by its matching original animation drawing rendered in graphite and color pencil of the same dimensions. Each piece is numbered A38 in the upper right corners, and the cel is displayed on a black printed background for presentation purposes. Minor handling and edge wear, and the drawing shows light surface scuffing and toning. The condition overall is Very Good.
