    Description

The Country Cousin Monty Citymouse Production Cel (Walt Disney, 1936). Sophisticated cousin to country bumpkin Abner, Monte looks elegant in this Courvoisier setup, wearing his top hat and tails with a bright red bow tie. The Country Cousin won the Academy Award as Best Animated Short; the cartoon was directed by Wilfred Jackson, with principal animation done by Art Babbitt and Les Clark. The hand-inked and hand-painted cel has been placed over a beautiful Courvoisier airbrushed painted background, with an original Courvoisier cream-colored mat that has the title nicely written by hand in graphite. The mat has an opening of 7.25" x 7.5", and the cel is framed with Plexiglas, for an overall size of 16" x 17". Fine condition.
