The Big Bad Wolf/The Practical Pig Red Riding Hood and the Wolf Production Cel/Color Model Setup with Production Background (Walt Disney, 1934/1939). C'mon, sing along with us... "Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf... the Big Bad Wolf!" The first Silly Symphony short of the Three Little Pigs created one of the studio's first superstar teams (the Pigs) and villains (Big Bad Wolf). After this short, they starred in three more theatrical shorts. This is an original hand-inked, hand-painted trimmed Color Model/production cel of Little Red Riding Hood as she flees from the Big Bad Wolf in the second short. Nice full figure image of 4". This is where she is running and is confronted by the Wolf. The Wolf is a hand-inked, hand-painted rare Color Model cel from the last short, The Practical Pig. In this scene in that short, he is changing into a mermaid costume to capture the pigs. Great image of the Wolf, with a size of 3". The two trimmed cels work well together, placed on a Silly Symphony trimmed production background. Yellow sunflowers are seen in several of the Three Little Pigs shorts, but this particular short is unknown. The setup is framed with Plexiglas, matted with an opening size of 8" x 7", with an overall frame of 18" x 17". Both cels appear to have minor restoration. Great colors in this beautiful setup. Very Good condition.
