The All New Popeye Hour Publicity Cel (Hanna-Barbera, 1978). After Popeye cartoons produced by Fleischer, Famous, and Jack Kinney studios, Hanna-Barbera took a turn with all new episodes. Jack Mercer voiced Popeye and also wrote many of the scripts. This is a very rare hand-painted Publicity cel used for press and consumer products, by the Hanna-Barbera marketing department. It's a great image of Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Bluto. The cel is placed over flat mustard-colored card stock. It is in Fine condition, and the characters are 3" to 4.5" tall. Very little artwork from Hanna-Barbera's try at "Popeye" is still available. Don't miss this piece!
