Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo Production Cel Group of 4 (Murakami-Wolf-Swenson, c. 1987-96).
Created by self-published cartoonists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles exploded onto the scene in the late 80s. Indie comic sensibilities brought a fresh approach to Saturday morning cartoons, and audiences fell in love with the unconventional hero team. Here are 4 spectacular hand-painted original production cels featuring one each of the ninja turtles. Leonardo (in the blue mask) measures 4" x 3.75", Donatello (purple) is 7.75" x 6", Raphael (red) is 4.75" x 5.5", and Michelangelo (yellow-orange) measures 3.75" x 5.5". The cels show minor handling wear and are taped to printed backgrounds for presentation purposes. Michelangelo's cel has light paint splatter, but otherwise the overall condition is Fine.
